Weathering Any of the chemical or mechanical processes by which rocks exposed to the weather undergo changes in character and break down.
Erosion The gradual wearing away of land surface materials, especially rocks, sediments, and soils, by the action of water, wind, or a glacier
Deposition The accumulation or laying down of matter by a natural process, as the laying down of sediments in a river
Tornado A destructive swirling wind with funnel-shaped clouds
Earthquakes Shaking of the Earth caused by the shifting of tectonic plates
Landslides a slide of a large mass of dirt and rock down a mountain or cliff
Meteorite Impact An asteroid from space coming in contact with Earth
Wildfire any large fire that spreads rapidly and is hard to extinguish
Tsunami A huge sea waves caused by an underwater earthquake or landslide
Volcano Build up of pressure within a type of mountain that results in the spewing of hot molten rock
Hurricane A type of thunderstorm with winds in excess of 74 mph
Drought A long period of dryness and lack of precipitation in an area
Flooding An excess of water in a given area or an overflow of water out of a body of water
Blizzard A violent snowstorm with winds blowing at a minimum speed of 35 mph and visibility of less than one-quarter mile for three hours.
Equilibrium A condition in which all influences acting cancel each other, so that a static or balanced situation results.
