Weather unit review
| Term | Definition |

| evaporation | is the process in which a liquid turns into a gas (water vapor). |
| condensation | is the process in which a gas (water vapor) turns into a liquid |
| high pressure system | is associated with clear, dry weather. It often brings cooler weather, but little or no chance of precipitation. |
| low pressure system | is associated with wet weather. It usually brings the greater chance for storms or precipitation. |
| humidity | is the percent of moisture in the air. |
| dew point | is the temperature at which a gas turns into a liquid. |
| isobars | the lines on a weather map that connect locations with the same air pressure. |
| weather | the day to day conditions including temperature, precipitation, humiditiy, and other data points. |
| climate | the general conditions for a specific area over a long period of time |
| land breeze | is a breeze that travels from above the cooler land at night to the warmer water. |
| sea breeze | is a breeze that travels from above the cooler water during the day to the warm sand. |
| west to east | the direction that most weather systems typically move. |
| density | how tightly compact something is. |
