terracing cutting level areas into a slope to slow the process of erosion
landslide the SUDDEN movement of large amounts of dirt and rock
avalanche the SUDDEN movement of large amounts of ice and snow
creep form of mass wasting with the SLOW movement of dirt and rocks
lava tubes caverns formed as the outer layers of lava cooled (after a volcanic eruption)
solution caves cavern formed erosion due to underground water (this is the most common type of cave)
sea caves caverns formed by erosion due to the pounding of waves
sandstone caves caves formed at the base of cliffs by moving water
