Tropical Rain Forest

Located in a belt around the Earth near the Equator.
Percipitation = 200 to 450 cm of rain a year!
Temperature constant year round due to location. Strong Sun-light year round! Scorch!
There are 100 species per hectare
A Hectare is 10,000 meters squared
Layers of the Rain Forest are Emergent layer, upper canopy, lower canopy, and understory
Tropical rain forest is the biome with the greatest amount of species diversity!
