organ systems | A group of organs that work together to perform a certain task (job). Examples: Skeletal, Muscular, Digestive |
multicellular | An organism made up of many cells |
microscope | A device used by scientists to observe (see) extremely small objects or organisms. |
cell wall | A stiff structure that surrounds and protects a cell. Found in plants |
organelles | A tiny structure within a cell that performs a specific function (job) for that cell. They float in the cytoplasm of the cell |
skeletal system | The system that is made up of all the bones in the body |
bones | The organs that make up a skeleton |
bone marrow | Spongy material inside long bones that produces blood cells |
