The Lymphatic and Immune Systems

TermDefinition
Immune To be protected.
Pathogens Disease-producing microorganisms.
Cilia Small hair like structures, that create movement of the cell surface.
Reflexes An involuntary action that your body does in response to something. An automatic response to stimuli.
White Blood Cells (Leukocytes) A disease fighting cell.
Lymphocytes A type of white blood cell.
B-Lymphocytes Produce Antibodies.
T-Lymphocytes Recognizes anything foreign and destroys them.
Antibodies Specialized proteins that fight diseases.
Immune System Made up of a network of cells, tissues, and organs, that work together to protect the body.
