How are maps commonly drawn?? North at the top, east at the right, west at the left, and south at the bottom.
What do topographic maps show?? Surface features of Earth.
What are contour lines used to show on topographic maps?? Elevation.
What do geologic maps show about a given area?? Types of rocks and the location of faults, folds, and other structures.
What are soil maps based on?? Surveys that record information about the properties of soil.
How are latitude and longitude measured?? In degrees, minutes, and seconds.
Who is most likely to find soil maps useful?? Farmers, agricultural engineers, and conservations.
What is the latitude of the equator?? 0° latitude.
What is the latitude of the North, South Pole?? 90° latitude.
What is the actual distance in kilometers of 1° of latitude?? 111 kilometers.
Major Highways?? Red.
Bodies of Water?? Blue.
Buildings, Boundaries, Roads, and Railroads?? Black.
Contour Lines?? Brown or Black.
Forested Areas?? Green.
It says give the latitude and longitude coordinates for the following points. So here I go! Point A?? 90° N latitude.
Point B?? 120° N latitude.
Point C?? 60° N latitude.
