postural supports side rails and special chairs such as geriatric chairs are also known as physical restraints or protective devices.
fire plan and disaster plan The nurse will explain your facility's guidelines. Get residents to safety first. A fast, calm and confident response by the staff saves lives.
false imprisonment complete restraint upon a person's liberty of movement without legal justification
escape routes in case of a fire you know where the exits are and where to leave out from.
soft protective device a device that serves as a reminder to the resident of safety issues, like a waist device or posey.
