Motor Fitness

Accuracy Ability to focus on a given goal or target. Developed through prolonged practice.
Speed Basic to all movement. Rate at which a given task or movement is accomplished. Speed can be used in strength training to promote explosive muscle power.
Balance Needed in varying degrees for all sports. Can be developed through practice of certain movements which are specific & depend on the action & position of limbs. May vary due to presence of disability, supports or props may be necessary.
Agility & Motor coordination Combination of speed & accuracy. Developed through repetitive practice of changing direction. Coordination of nervous & muscular system. Developed indirectly through weight training. Improves with increased strength & conditioning.
