What is an Abyssal Plains? A large, flat area of the sea floor that extends across the deepest parts of the ocean basins.
Explain why river water near an ocean is sometime salty. As the river pours into the ocean and tides rise and fall, the freshwater of a river mixes with salty ocean water. When freshwater mixes with salt water, it becomes brackish.
