What is salinity? | Salinity is the amount of salt found in 1,000 grams of water. It is used to measure ocean salinity. |
Why are oceans salty and not freshwater? | Because water evaporates, and the salt gets left behind. Over time, so much salt is left it becomes noticeable that there is a salty taste. |
What is brackish water and where can you find it? | Brackish water is a mix of salt water and fresh water, found where the two meet. |
