mollusk invertebrates with soft, unsegmented bodies that are often protected by a hard outer shell.
open circulatory system the blood is not always inside blood vessels.
gill organs that remove oxygen from the water.
gastropod the largest group of mollusks that have a single shell or no shell at all.
herbivores animals that eat only plants.
carnivores animals that eat only other animals.
radula a flexible ribbon of tiny teeth.
bivalves mollusks that have two shells held together by hinges and strong muscles.
omnivores animals that eat both plants and animals.
cephalopods an ocean-dwelling mollusk whose foot is adapted to form tentacles around its mouth.
