| Wavelength | The distance between two adjacent crests or troughs of a wave |
| Electromagnetic Spectrum | The range of wavelengths or frequencies over which electromagnetic radiation extends |
| Spectrum | A range of electromagnetic radiation that is ordered by wavelength or frequency, such as the band of colors that is produced when light passes through a prism |
| Probe | An uncrewed vehicle that carries scientific instruments into space to collect scientific data |
| Artificial Satellite | Any human-made object placed in orbit around a body in space |
| NASA | The National Aeronautics and Space Administration |
| Launch | The process of setting a rocket or spacecraft in motion |
| Spinoff | A commercialized product incorporating NASA |
| Energy | Power derived from the utilization of physical or chemical resources, especially to provide light and heat or to work machines. |
