Electromagnetic Spectrum All of the frequencies or wavelengths of electromagnetic radiation.
Energy The capacity to do work.
Frequency The number of waves produced in a given amount of time, such as a second.
Radiation The transfer of energy as electromagnetic waves.
Wavelength The distance between two adjacent crests or troughs of a wave.
Probe An uncrewed vehicle that carries scientific instruments into space to collect scientific data.
Artificial Satellite Any human-made object placed in orbit around a body in space.
NASA The National Aeronautics and Space Administration.
Launch The process of setting a rocket or spacecraft in motion.
Spinoff A commercialized product incorporating NASA technology or "know how" that benefits the public.
