Main Character - Zach Will's friend, another ten year old evacuee but an exhuberant character
Setting - Little Weirwold Peaceful and pleasant village in the north of England
Setting - London War torn city in the middle of the London blitz
Conversion Cutting of Logs into Planks
Through and Through Sawing All cuts are parallel to each other
Quarter Sawing Log is cut in Quarter and the these are cut into planks
Tangential Sawing Planks are cut at a tangent to the annual rings
