| cinder cone volcano | pyroclastic material made from somewhat explosive eruptions |
| composite volcano | both pyroclastic material from explosive eruptions and quieter lava flow |
| ring of fire | located in the Pacific ocean basin, large area where many volcanoes have formed and form |
