QuestionAnswer
spectrum The band of color produced when light passes through a prism.
spectrograph A tube like device which can identify bands(emission lines) of light by the gases that are released.
Main-sequence stars The second stage of a stars form, which is the longest of it's life cycle.
light-year The distance that light travels in one year.
neutron star A star that has callapsed under gravity to the point at which all of its particles are neutrons
galaxy A collection of stars, dust and gas bounds together by gravity.
Milky Way The solar system we live is a spiral galaxy called the Milk Way
cosmology The study of the origin, structure, and future of the universe
Big Bang Theory The theory that the universe begins with a tremendous explosion
