TermDefinition
hypothesis a statement of what you thin will happen during an investigation
observation is something you find out about an object, event , or living thing by using your senses.
experiment is the use of scientific method to test your hypothesis
variable is something that can change in a test.
independent variable variable is one one that you can control
dependent variable variable changes when an independent variable changes. it is what gets measured. it give you data.
control group the group that doesn't get the special treatment.
proceeders step-by-step instructions for completing a task.
data information from which a conclusion can be drawn former a prediction can be made.
precision is the ability to constantly repeat a measurement
accuracy is the ability to make a measurement that is as close to the accrual as possible
inference conclusion based on observation.
Evidence are observations that you make you believe something is true
model used to test objects or ideas that represent something else.
surveys questions that are answered by people. Great for opinion.
sampling examining random individual from a population.
experimental group the group that gets the special treatment
