hypothesis is a statement is what you think will happen during an investigation
observation is something you find out about objects
experiment is the use of scientific methods to test your hypothesis
variable is something that can change in a test
control group is the group that DOESN'T get the special treatment :(
procedures are a step by step instructions for completing a task
data are information from which a conclusion can be drawn or a prediction can be made
precision is the ability to constantly repeat a measurement
accuracy is the ability to a object about the actual measurement
inference is a conclusion based on observations
evidence is an observation that you believe is true
independent variable is one that you control
dependent variable it changes when the independent variable changes, it is what gets measured, gives you data
model object or idea that represents other things
survey questions that are answered by people, great for opinion questions
sampling examining random individuals from a population
experimental group the group that gets the special treatment
