| accuracy | is the ability to a object about the actual measurement |
| inference | is a conclusion based on observations |

| independent variable | is one that you control |
| dependent variable | it changes when the independent variable changes, it is what gets measured, gives you data |
| model | object or idea that represents other things |
| survey | questions that are answered by people, great for opinion questions |
| sampling | examining random individuals from a population |
| experimental group | the group that gets the special treatment |
