TermDefinition
Hypothesis is a statement of what you think will happen during an investigation If... Then... Because...
Observation is something you find out about objects
Experiment is the use of scientific methods to test your hypothesis
Variable is something that can control
Control group the group that DOESN'T get special treat meant
Procedures are step-by-step instructions for completing a task
Data are information from which a conclusion can be drawn or a prediction can be made
Precision is the ability to consistently repeat a measurement
Accuracy is the ability to make a measurement that is as close to the actual value as possible
Inference is a conclusion based on observations
Evidence are observations that make you believe that something is true
Independent variable is one that you can control the I contol
Dependent variable changes when an independent variable changes, it is what gets measured, gives you data
Models object or ideas that represent other things
Survey Questions that are answered by people.Great for option questions.
Sampling examining random individuals from a population.
