Evidence Observations that make you believe that something is true
Experiment The use of scientific methods to test your hypothesis
Hypothesis A statement of what you think will happen during an investigation
Variable Something that can change in a test
Control Group The group that doesn't get the special treatment.
Data Information from which a conclusion can be drawn or a prediction can be made
Precision Is the ability to constantly repeat a measurement
Accuracy Is the ability to make a measurement that is as close to the actual value as possible
Inferance A conclusion based on observations
Procedures Step-by-step instructions for completeting a task
Observation Is something you find out about objects.
Independent Variable Is one that you can control.
Dependent Variable It changes when the independent variable changes, what gets measured, and gives you data.
Survey Questions that are answered by people, great for opinion questions.
Model Objects or ideas that represent other things.
Sampling Examining random individuals from a population.
Experimental Group The group that gets the special treatment.
