TermDefinition
Hypothesis a statement of what you think will happen during an investigation .
Observation is something you find about objects ,events, or living things by using your scenes.
Variable is something that can change in a test.
Control Group the group that doesn't get the special treatment.
Procedures are step-by-step instructions for completing a task.
Data are information from which a conclusion can be drawn or a prediction can be made.
Precision is the ability to consistent repeat a measurement.
Accuracy is the ability to make a measurement that is as close to the actual value as possible.
Inference is a conclusion based on observations.
Evidence are observations that make you believe that something is true.
Independent Variable is one that you can control.
Dependent Variable changes when an independent variable changes,it is what get's measured ,and it gives you data.
Experiment use of scientific methods to test you hypothesis.
Model objects or ideas that represent other things.
Survey can be questions that are answered by people,and great for opinion questions.
Sampling examining random individuals from a population.
