vocabulary words for minerals

Mineral Any of a class of substances occurring in nature, usually comprising inorganic substances
Metamorphism A change in the structure or constitution of a rock due to natural agencies,
Molecule The smallest physical unit of an element or compound
Geology The science that deals with the dynamics and physical history of the earth
Density A measure of mass per unit volume
Atom The smallest component of an element having the chemical properties of the element
Ores A metal-bearing mineral or rock
Magma Molten material beneath or within the earth's crust
Lava The molten, fluid rock that issues from a volcano or volcanic vent
Silicates Any of the largest group of mineral compounds
