Rocks

igneous rock A rock formed by crystallization of molten magma
lava Magma that reaches Earth's surface
magma Body of molten rock found beneath Earth's surface
metamorphic rock A rock formed by the alteration of preexisting rock deep within Earth by heat
rock cycle The continuous processes that changes the make up of rocks
sedimentary rock A rock formed by preexisting products
sediments Loose particles created by weathering, erosion and chemical precipitation
weathering A process in which rocks are physically and chemically broken down by water, gravity, glaciers, or wind
