organism a living thing. we are an organisms
habitat it is a place that an organism needs to live,grow, and reproduce. A pond is a frog's habitat.
biotic factors they include animals,plants, and other organisms.
abiotic factors they include water,sunlight,oxygen,temperature, and soil.
photosynthesis plants and algae need water, carbon dioxide, and sunlight
producer An organisms that can make its own food is called a producer.
consumer An organisms that gets energy by eating other organisms is called a consumer.
Herbivores consumers that eat only plants.
Carnivores consumers that eat only animals.
omnivores consumers that eat both plants and animals.
decomposer An organism that gets energy by eating wastes and dead organisms.
food chain shows a series of organisms that eat other organisms.
food web a web made up with foods in an ecosystems.
energy pyramid a diagram in the shape of a pyramid. It shows how much energy moves from one feeding level to another. Energy moves from the bottom level up to the top level.
