| Term | Definition |

| Biodiversity | The variety of plants, animals, and other living things in an environment. |
| Ecological Footprint | The amount of natural resources we use, and how that impacts the environment. |
| Ecosystem | The way living things (species) and their environment work together. |
| Species | A group of living things that can produce offspring (babies). |
| Natural Resources | Things we use that are already there in the earth. |
| Environment | The area around you |
| Population | Total number of people who live in a country or area. |
| Population Density | Talking about whether the number of people in an area is crowded or spread out. |
| Unemployment | When a person who wants a job can't find one. |
| GDP (Gross Domestic Product) | All the things a country or place being talked about makes. |
| Electrical Consumption | The amount of electricity people use. |
| Petroleum Consumption | The amount of oil people use. |
| Extinct | When a specie disappears, and it NEVER comes back again. |
| Pollution | Things that are NOT healthy for the earth. |
