How did Aristotle divide organisms? Into plants and animals.
How did Aristotle group organisms? By the way they moved.
Who was Carl Linnaeus? The father of taxonomy.
What is Carl Linnaeus's classification system based on? Physical features.
What is Binomial Nomenclature? The system of giving every organism 2 names.
What is the first word in Binomial Nomenclature? Genus (broad)
What is the second word in Binomial Nomenclature? Species (specific)
How is a scientific name set up? Genus has a capital letter. Species has a lower case letter. Uses latin words. Always written in italics
What is a dichotomous key? A tool to help to determine the items in the natural world.
What is the saying to remember the classification of organisms? King phillip came over for good spaghetti
What is the classification of organisms? Kingdom, Phylum, Class, Order, Family, Genus, Species
What are the six kingdoms? Animals, Plants, Fungi, Protists, Archaebacteria, and eubacteria.
What is the broadest group? Kingdom.
What is the most specific group? Species.
Are fungi unicellular or multicellular? multicellular
Are Archaebacteria unicellular or multicellular? unicellular
