| chemical weathering | the process by which rocks and minerals undergo changes in their composition. |
| oxidation | the chemical reaction of oxygen with any other substances. |
| erosion | the process of the removal of weathered rock and soil from its original location |
| desposition | process of being transportant and dropped in another location |
| rill erosion | develops when running water cuts small channels into the sides of a slope |
| gully erosion | when a channel becomes deep and wide, rill erosion evolves. |
