Terrestrial Planet Are the four small,dense,rocky planets that orbit closest to the Sun
Astronomical Unit Equals the average distance between the Sun and Earth, or approximately 150 million km
Prograde Rotation Having a rotational or orbital movement that is the same as most bodies within a celestial system
Retrograde Rotation All eight planets in the Solar System orbit the Sun in the direction that the Sun is rotating, which is counterclockwise when viewed from above the Sun's north pole
Gas Giants Have deep,massive gas atmospheres,which are made up mostly of hydrogen and helium
Planetary Ring Is a disk of material that circles a planet and consist of orbiting particles
Dwarf Planet Is a celestial body that orbits the Sun and is round because of its own gravity
Kuiper Belt Is a region of the Solar System that begins just beyond the orbit of Neptune and contains small bodies made mostly of ice
