Habitat An environment that provides the things an organism needs to live, grow and reproduce
Ponds, lakes, Streams, Rivers Bodies of standing, or still, fresh water.
Organism Any living thing
Environmental stressors Things in the habitat that cause organisms to have difficulty surviving
Tolerance The amount of environmental stressors that an organism can have in their habitat and still survive.
Eradicate To eliminate all members of a species from an area
Neritic zone The region of shallow ocean water over the continental shelf
Macroinvertebrate Small animals without a backbone
Intolerant Organisms who are negatively affected by environmental stressors
Estuary Where fresh water of a river flows into the salt water of the ocean
Invasive weeds Plants that overgrow crops or completely take over
4 main abiotic factors for every ecosystem Sunlight, temperature, oxygen, and salt content.
