force A push or pull on an object
mechanics The study of motion
acceleration The change in speed and direction something is going
Isaac Newton The great creation scientist who discovered the laws of motion
Newton's first law of motion The law that says something at rest or in motion in a straight line prefers to stay that way unless something forces it to move or stop moving.
Newton's second law of motion The law that says force causes an object to change speed or direction; this change is resisted by the mass of the object.
Newton's third law of motion The law that says for every action, there's an equal and opposite reaction.
