Evaporation Produces water vapor from bodies of water.
Condensation Forms clouds from water vapor.
Precipitation Results in water falling to Earth's surface.
Water Cycle Naturally recycles water. Involves plants.It is a continuous process.
Temperature How hot or cold something is.
Runoff The flow of water that occurs when excess water from rain or other sources flows over the earth's surface.
Groundwater The water located beneath the earth's surface.
El Nino An abnormal climate event that occurs every 2-7 years in the Pacific Ocean.
Gulf Stream The largest and most powerful current in North America.
Coriolis Effect Causes ocean currents to move clockwise in the northern hemisphere and counterclockwise in the southern hemisphere.
Upwelling The movement of cold water from the deep ocean.
Salinity Pertaining to a chemical salt or salt like.
Recycle To undergo reuse or renewal.
Water Vapor What happens when water evaporates.
Current A large stream of moving water that flows through the oceans.
High Pressure H on weather map. Clear weather.
Low Pressure L on weather map. Cloudy weather.
