El Nino Warmer than sea-surface temperatures in the tropical Pacific Ocean that have an effect on global weather.
La Nina Cooler-than-normal sea surface temperatures in the central and eastern Pacific Ocean, near the equator off the west coast of South America.  
Drought A prolonged shortage of rainfall.
Cold front When a COLD AIR MASS pushes into a warm air mass.
Warm Front When a WARM AIR MASS pushes into a cold air mass.
