TermDefinition
Star A large celestial body that is composed of gas ans that emits light;sun is a typical
Apparent magnitude The brightnes of a star as seen from earth.
Luminosity The actual brightnes of an object such as a star.
Absolute magnitude A measure of how bright a star would be if it were seen from a standard distance.
Temperture A measure of how hot or cold something is; specifically, a measure of the average kinetic energy of the particles in an object.
