| Reference Point | The starting point you choose to describe the location, or position, of an object. |
| Position | An object's distance and direction from a reference point. |
| Motion | The process of changing position. |
| Displacement | Th difference between the initial position and the final position of an object. |
| Speed | The measure of distance of an object per unit of time. |
| Constant Speed | Rate of change of position in which the same distance is traveled per second. |
| Instantaneous Speed | Speed at a specific distance in time. |
| Velocity | Speed and direction of a moving object |
| Acceleration | The measure of the change n velocity during a period of time. |
| Net Force | The combination of all the forces acting on an object. |
| Balanced Force | Forces acting on an object that combine and form a net force of zero. |
| Unbalanced Force | Forces acting on an object that combine and form a net force that is not zero. |
| Inertia | The tendency of an object to resist a change in its motion. |
| Circular Motion | Any motion in which an object is moving along a curved path. |
| Centripetal Force | force that acts perpendicular to the direction of motion, toward the center of the curve. |
| Efficiency | The ratio of output work to input work. |
| Sound Wave | A longitudinal wave that travels through matter. |
| Pitch | The perception of how high or low a sound seems. |
| Echo | A reflected sound wave. |
