| matter | anything that takes up space has weight and is made up of molecules and atoms form of solid liquid and gas |
| quantitive properties | when a property includes numbers and can be measured |
| qualitative proporties | are properties that cant be observed- cannot be recorded numerically |
| precision | refers to how close together a group of measurements actually are to each other |
| accuracy | refers to how close the measurement value is to the true or accepted value |
| weight | is the amount of force (push or pull) with which gravity pulls down on an object -how far you are from the center -the mass of the object -the earths mass (your mass) |
| volume | the amount of space a material takes up |
| adhesion | that holds together molecules of unlike substances w/closeness |
| cohesion | force by which like molecules are held together (like a team) |
