A Biosphere is a huge ecosystem. Earth is considered to be a biosphere.
An Ecosystem is A community that lives in a given area and all the non living parts of that area is an ecosystem.
A Habitat is the place where an organism, species, poulation or community lives.
Producers are organisms that transfer and harness energy into organic compounds.
Consumers are organisms that obtain their energy, directly or indirectly, from the energy containing compounds made by producers.
Decomposers are organisms that feed on dead bodies or waste matter from other organisms in the ecosystem and are consumers.
Trophic levels are the position on a food web at which an organism feeds. Producers at the bottom, consumers at the top.
A Food chain is the pathway through which energy is transferred between specific organisms.
A Food web is the pathways through which energy is transferred between all organisms in a specific habitat or ecosystem.
A population is a group of organisms of the same species at the same time that interbreed. Lots of population make up a community.
