What is the purpose of the Detection Reagent? stops the reaction due to the alkalinity, and the more glucose and maltose the darker the color.
What is a spectrophotometer used for? To detect the amount of light absorbed by a substance, the absorbance is proportional to the concentration or intensity of the colored product.
