| Apparent Magnitude | The brightness of a star as seen from Earth (68) |
| Luminosity | The actual brightness of an object such as a star. |
| Absolute Magnitude | measure of how bright star would be seen if it were from a standard distance. |
| Nebula | A cloud of gas and dust in outer space, visible in the night sky either as an indistinct bright patch or as a dark silhouette against other luminous matter. |
| Nuclear Energy | The energy released during nuclear fission or fusion, especially when used to generate electricity. |
| Super Nova | A star that suddenly increases greatly in brightness because of a catastrophic explosion that ejects most of its mass. |
