Solids,Liquids, and Gasses
| Term | Definition |

| Solid | Is an object that has a definite shape and a definite volume. |
| Crystalline Solid | A crystal like solid that melts at a distinct temperature. |
| Amorphous Solid | Solid that has particles that are not in a regular pattern and don't melt at an distinct temperature. |
| Liquid | Liquid has a definite volume but doesn't have a definite shape. |
| Surface tension | An inward force,or pull, among the molecules in a liquid that bring the molecules on the closer. |
| Viscotity | A liquid's resistance of flowing. |
| Gas | Doesn't have a definite shape or volume. |
| Pressure | The force of an outward push divided by the area of the walls of the container. |
| Melting | The change of state from solid to liquid. |
| Melting Point | When a solid melts at a specific temperature. |
| freezing | When the state changes from liquid to solid. |
| Vaporization | When a liquid's particles move independently and become a gas. |
| Evaporation | Vaporization that happens on the surface only. |
| Boiling | Vaporization that happens on the surface and all around the container. |
| Boiling Point | When a liquid boils at a specific temp. |
| Condensation | The state from a gas to a liquid. |
