| Star | A large celestial body that is composed of heat and gas. |
| Apperent magnitude | The brightness of a star that can be seen from Earth. |
| Luminosity | The actual brightness of a object. |
| Absolute magnitude | Is a measure of how bright a star would be seen in a standard distance. |
| Temperature | The measure of how hot or cold an object would be. |
| Main-sequence stars | The location on the H-R diagram where most stars lie. |
| Astronomical-unit | The distance of how long it is in space. |
