Volga River fourth longest river in European Russia. Connects Moscow to the Caspian Sea
Volga-Don Canal canals that link Moscow to the Sea of Azov and the Black Sea.

Ob River flows north through Siberia emptying into the Arctic Ocean
The Amur River forms a border between China and Russia, drains eastward, influenced by summer monsoon winds from the southeast, the river valley is warmer than the rest of Siberia. It is the main food producing area
Black Earth Belt 250 million acres of fertile land stretches from Ukraine to southwestern Siberia
