Globe a spherical model of the earth.

meteoroligist studies the earths atmosphere, monitors, studies,and forecasts the weather.
geoligist studies the history and structure of earth as it is recorded in rocks.
seismoligist studies and monitors earthquake activity.
volcanoligist studies and monitors the volcanic activity.
vortex a mass of whirling fluid or air.
hurricane a huge storm.It can be up to 600 miles and have strong swirling winds.
tornado a mobile destructive vortex of violently rotating winds.
eye air that moves faster around the vortex.
funnel cloud a rotating funnel shaped cloud forming the core of a tornado.
cyclone a system of winds rotating inward to an area.
typhoon a tropical storm in the region of the Indian or western pacific oceans.
weather The state of the atmosphere at a place and time as regards heat,dryness,humidity and cold air.
warm front Forms when warm air moves over cold air.
cold front Cold fronts move quickly and bring cold,dry air.
stationary front Forms when cold and warm air masses meet but neither one has enough force to move each other.
occluded front Forms when a warm air mass is caught between two cooler air masses.
maritime polar air mass From Pacific Ocean bring cool,humid air to the West Coast.
maritime tropical airmass Maritime tropical air masses from the Gulf of mexico bring warm,humid air to the eastern United States.
continental tropical airmass From the southwest bring hot,dry air to the southern great plains.
continental polar airmass From overland bring cold,dry air.
airmass A huge body of air that has similar temperature,humidity,and air pressure at a given height.
front The area where air masses meet and do not meet.
cyclone A swirling center of low air pressure.
anticyclone Are high pressure centers of dry air.
