| Term | Definition |
|---|---|
| State of Matter | The physical form of matter which include solid, liquid, and gas |
| Solid | The state of matter in which the volume and shape of a substance are fixed |
| Liquid | The state of matter that has a definite volume but not a definite shape |
| Gas | A form or matter that does not have a definite volume or shape |
| Melting Point | Temperature at which a solid turns into s liquid |
| Vaporization | Process in which a liquid changes into a gas |
| Boiling point | Temperature a liquid vaporizes and changes to a gas |
| Condensation | The change of state from a gas to a liquid |
| Freezing Point | Temperature at which a liquid changes ts a solid |
| Sublimation | The process in which a changes directly into a gas |
| Phase-Change Diagram | Drawing that shows the relationships among temperature and changes of state |
| PLasma | A state of matter that forms when temperature a high enough to completely remove electrons |
