nutrients substances needed for an organism to live and grow
nucleus controls all the cell's activities and is important in cell reproduction (similar to the brain of the cell)
cell membrane a thin layer that surrounds all cells. It allows materials to pass in and out.
life processes things that a living thing must do in order to stay alive and reproduce

cytoplasm the jelly-like substance that fills much of the cell
cell wall the tough outer covering of a plant cell that gives it a rigid shape
chloroplast food making occurs in this cell structure - it is only in plant cells
