Brief A memorandum of material facts, point of law, precedents, etc., prepared to familiar rise the court with the facts and the law of a particular case

Legal Backing Heavy paper longer than the document and typically made of colored stock
Legal Cap Ruled legal paper
Sic A latin term placed in parentheses following any mistakes in quoted material to indicate that the mistakes appears in the original
Table of Authorities A table of sources in constructing a belief, including constitutions, statutes, case law, an other refrences structured according to strict rules about the order and display of each reference.
Testimonium Clause The cause of a deed or written instrument immediately preceding the signature that reads: "In witness whereof the parties hereunto have caused this instrument to be properly executed the day and year first above written."
