| Globe | A spherical model of the earth. |
| Map | Shows the earth or parts of it on a flat surface. |
| Meteorology | Studies the earth's atmosphere; monitors, studies, and forecasts the weather. |
| Geologist | Studies the history and structure of the earth as it is recorded in rocks. |
| Seismologist | Studies and monitors earthquake activity. |
| Volcanologist | Studies and monitors volcanic activity. |
| Vortex | A mass of swirling liquid of air. |
| Huricane | Created when warm air rises over tropical areas. (Atlantic ocean and eastern Pacific ocean) |
| Tornado | Created when moist air meets cold, dry air head on. Most commonly formed in between The Rocky mountains and the Mississippi river, in the United states. |
| Eye | The center of a vortex where weather is mostly calm. |
| Funnel Cloud | A rotating funnel shaped cloud forming the core of a vortex. |
| Cyclone | A rotating tropical storm moving clockwise in the southern hemisphere and counterclockwise in the northern hemisphere. (Indian ocean or off the coast of Australia) |
| Typhoon | A topical in the Indian or western Pacific ocean. |
