Earth and space unit 2

TermDefinition
System A collection of parts that work together.
Atmosphere A mixture of gases that surrounds the earth.
Geosphere a system that includes Earth's crust, mantle, outer core and inner core
Hydrosphere The portion of Earth that is water
Biosphere The part of Earth where life exists; includes all of the living organisms on Earth.
Lithosphere The solid , outer layer of Earth that consists of the crust and the rigid upper part of the mantel.
