| independent variable | variables that can be changed during an experiment |
| hypothesis | prediction or statement that can be tested. |
| model | representing something to big,small,dangerous,time consuming,expensive to observe directly. |
| scientific method | ways to solve problems that can include step-by-step plans, making models, and carefully thought-out experiments. |
| bias | a slanted view or 1 sided |
| evidence | helps prove if something is true or false |
| observation | the act looking for something or searching |
| experiment | how you test your hypothesis |
| conclusion | end or answer to the problem you are trying to solve |
| inference | the process of reasoning |
| data | information gathered during experiment, usually found in tables or chart. |
