American Bar Association (ABA) A set of guidelines, adopted the Canons of Professional Ethics.
Model Rules of Professional Conduct Offer disciplinary guidelines, but the disciplinary action is determined by the state.
Code of Judicial Ethics The Lawyer employer is responsible for the conduct of office staff and can be disciplined for an employee's violation.
Pro Bono Defines the lawyer-client relationship when the lawyer is a member of a legal services organization or law reform group.
Ethics Principles of conduct that govern an individual or profession.
Unauthorized Practice of Law (UPL) The rules regulate the independence of the lawyer and prohibit the unauthorized practice of law.
